Okay so, uh something I think about a lot is sort of uh the path that one comes to to the present because uh ya know not much can change in the past. Ya know, nothing. And ya can't really do a whole lot about the future. Sort of common sense. But i think about my path, born in salt lake city utah and uh moved around a bunch when we as as a kid 'cause my parents both worked as sort of career-minded folk. But uh, like we lived in, my dad's Iranian. So we lived in Iran for a while when i was a baby. and it's a funny story I actually got very sick with salmonella in Iran, but uh had to come back because none of the doctors there could treat us. Um, and soon after that we ended up living in southern california. Suburban wasteland. Where I uh grew up and my parents are both in the technology industry and I grew up I was uh a swimmer in college. Uh or a swimmer in high school. Water polo player, ended up being a lifeguard on the beach. So that was, so that like was the part between where I was born and all that travels as a kid is sort of the preamble. The swimming years, ya know high school. Went to the University of Utah on swimming scholarship. SO went back to Utah where my parents went. That's sort of like the first chapter, that was sort of, the easy carefree days. ANd so uh, let's see... So uh The next transition was sort of into, or back into the technology that which, which uh sort of carries my family. Um, 'cause they both, my dad's an engineer and my mom's sort of technical marketing. Uh, I uh took a class in college about systems theory and how things are all related and I started thinking about technology and how thats sort of ya know how our lives are all very related to technology and that sort opened up a whole new sort of realm for me and I knew that I wanted to be involved. So uh with my psychology degree I uh, because I was also very interested in the ways people think about themselves and their world and um I've used a lot of that stuff and also unlearned a lot of it because it's sort of constricting. Ya know uh to diagnose people is, I think is constricting. So I uh came out to San Francisco which I think begins the third chapter. I'm twenty-six and have been out here for 2 years now and work for a big database company, Oracle, in, uh down south and I work for Alexa Internet here in the presidio, which is a very cool company. We were acquired by Amazon.com not too long ago so it's been a quick career progression 'cause I'm doin' a lot of big time projects. So sort of the fourth chapter I, I anticipate coming, I'm engaged to Deborah who I think also did her video, but the fourth chapter is also sort of what is it about all this technology and the corporate life that I can see can lead to one's unsatisfaction with the, with the world and I have many other paths I that see. That's I think one of the dilemmas of people my age is there's there's too many options, ya know bless Allah I'm very happy we have these options but I'm interested in taking some of what I learned and giving it back to the world in a creative way. So I think that fourth chapter will bring out some that art, some of the creativity I possess that can't necessarily come out at a desk job. So I think in this very interesting time of the turning of the millennium. Uh ya know I have a tattoo here it's, uh bits. And it says change. I thought about getting this for a very long time before I actually tattooed it on myself, but I think sort of in that realm of how it changes people's way of thinking about themselves, sort of harboring that and I hope to make the world a better place and helping people, myself to act more responsibly and not so, short attention span. And so I look forward to the fourth chapter and many more.
