Life story. I don’t remember the beginning but I kept my teeth on William Burrows when I was 15 so I always though identity was about the things that you don’t necessarily like or the things that you’re compelled to do. You feel that others would not necessarily agree or like. But, so , when I was 15 my parents took a trip with us to – excuse me I mean 13, my parents took a trip with us to the largest mall in the world. I think that says a lot about my upbringing. We passed by Yellowstone along the way but that was strange that it was a stop and not the trip but we went to the largest mall in the world that had an indoor amusement park, indoor water park complete with water slides, petting zoo and an aircraft dealer inside the building, very strange. They also had a theme hotel that was- you could stay in a Babes in Toyland room or something like that. It was very strange. However, I’ve kind of latched on to that trip as a turning point in my life because I saw another boy there on a bicycle, a boy about my age, get hit by a car. At the time I was really in to Dungeons and Dragons, all the middle school stuff. After that they just kind of faded away and became- that was the first time that I really realized humanity that you can die at any given point. So, I went back to middle school and prayed for an interesting life because I realized I was tired of being the white bread American golden boy. I moved out when I was 16 into a “hippie house”. I had something like 15 roommates so I guess that becomes more of a commune kind of deal. Since then, well, I ran with those people for a couple of years, got into trouble, eventually was expelled from high school, but thankfully in the second semester of my senior year so they had already sent my grades to UT and they never asked questions why it said GED on that one little part of my transcript. Since then I’ve been here in the art building. It’s hard for me to take classes anywhere else because they actually expect you to produce something other than entertainment. I’m good at entertain. I don’t know necessarily about intellectual behavior but other than that I read, I write, I watch and I make movies and that’s it…A minute and a half? Well, let’s see. Dirty jokes are out of the question. So, what is it “nothing is true, everything is permitted”? The last words of Hassan-i Sabbah? That’s it.
