Hi, my name is Fransisco R. I’m from El Paso, Texas, and I was lived and raised over there. Currently I’m about... think I’m thirty-one now, and this is my daughter. I’ve been in school almost all my life. I’m going to school now in Arizona, and we’ve been traveling and we’re here in Volcano Island, so it’s pretty nice out here. When I was small, I guess I had an accident a long time ago and I stuck my hand in a meat grinder, so I got it amputated. That was when I was about four years old, but I’m used to it now. I think if you’re there long enough with an accident, you get used to it, and now I’m trying to get a doctorate degree. I don’t know if I will. Hopefully I will. I’ve been electrical engineering, and hopefully I can become an astronaut. I’ve been applying off and on, so maybe you’ll see me on a space shuttle one day on TV. And other than that, I enjoy doing stuff. I try and be...is that four minutes? (voice offscreen: yep, four and some) but I’ve been trying to just be a good person overall and do good stuff. (Looking off of screen) ___ can you take her over? My wife is somewhere around here - oh, there’s my wife, yeah. So now since in... my family’s pretty nice, they’re all helpful. My dad’s still alive, he’s ninety-six. I think that’s like the most amazing thing ‘cause he’s been... he was born when the car was invented, and now we’ve got the rockets going into outer space, and he still drives, and he’s pretty fun. I mean, he does a lot of exciting stuff, and he does a lot of funny things. I’m pretty proud of him. My mom was born in Mexico, and then they came to the U.S., and then I happened to be born over here in El Paso. So since then we’re Mexican-Americans, I guess, by definition.
