Well, my name is Kurt J. I am originally from _____ on Oahu. I’ve moved here to the big island for a few years now where it’s a lot more peaceful here on this island. Get away from the traffic problems that they have on on Oahu, it’s pretty, pretty bad. I enjoy it here on this side of the island in Hilo. It kind of reminds me of the windward side on Oahu. What’s the most important things to me is people getting along with each other, sharing ideas, and I’d like to say sharing monato, knowledge and adventures, activities. The way I see things is the more input you have of various people and their backgrounds on a certain subject, the better picture that can be painted from that subject, because people look at things in different ways and have different ways of interpreting things. By listening to other people’s explanations and their ideas and their methods, you get a better picture of the subject that you’re talking about, because someone might say something in light that you’ve never really thought of that subject. Even though you may have studied a subject for years, someone can say one comment about that subject that would you think you know a lot about and make you think, you know, you’ve never really seen it that way. So, sharing of ideas is a really good way of finding answers to problems in all matters of life and all occupations. For me, another reason for being here is it helps me to research family roots. I have a lot of family that are originally from here, and I’ve never been here except just recently, so it gives me a time to do research and find grave sites and take pictures and things like that. I think it’s pretty neat for my children and eventually grandchildren and so forth. So, that’s important to me. My family’s important; I have my wife of sixteen years and we have six children together. I love them dearly. We have a lot of good times and sometimes bad times together, but everyday is a new adventure. You’re never bored, so that’s enjoyable. That’s it, that’s all I can think of.
