Hi, I’m Loydrena K, I was born here in Powell, Wyoming, in 1962. I’m 37 and I have 3 children. Colt is 14, Melissa is 11 and Ethan is 8. And I have my husband Bart, we’ve been married for 14 years. We were married in the Matitzi Mountains. At the wood river camp ground. Where we hunt all the time, where we have our hunting camp. My father lives in Cally, Wyoming with my step mom and my mother is in Nevada with my step dad and I have seven brothers and sisters. We do a lot of stuff together as a family, we hunt together, we fish together, we camp together, we go rock hunting every once in a while. And we do a lot of family get-togethers. Where we get together and kinda bull crap like we have the past couple of days. And I do a lot of canning, for my family, to keep us going through the winter. I raise sheep and I raise rabbits and steers. And we butcher and eat all of our animals here on the farm. We have a bunch of cats, that run around that all the kids love. And I’m an artist, I like to paint and draw. I like to, some day, do some paintings up at Hunting camp, and show people just how we do our hunts, how we do our fishing up there, just kinda have a look at life. I have a good way of… life. I don’t think I’d ever want to go to the cities. I’ve only been their when I was seismographing, I didn’t like what I seen. I like the open spaces out here. I like the freedom that we have, I call it freedom. And I like to shoot my guns, but my favorite thing is my fishing. I love to fish and we do a lot of things together as a family. I just wish my family would come around more often, I don’t know if they don’t like my farm life, I have or they think I should go and be a city girl, I don’t know. But I just like the solitude out here in the middle of nowhere. And I like my three gardens I raise for my food. And I like my chickens I get my eggs from. And basically just, I just like being alive. I um, I do a lot of fixing my face up, I do get to do that for myself. That’s about all I get to do for myself, is fix my hair and my face. Other than that I do for everybody else, I do a lot for everybody. I wish once in a while the turn around would come back and somebody would do for me. As grandmother Vanhorne once said, “if you do something good for somebody, somebody will turn around and do something good for you.” And I live for that motto. So far it’s been nice. And Bart and I, we get along and the kids get along. We have a happy family. So I enjoy life. Okay, I gotta think here for a minute. And I do hope that we get to keep our guns, eventually, I hope that we do. because I don’t know what I’d do without my hunting. I love to go hunting and I love to eat the meat. So I hope it doesn’t turn out where we lose them, I hope we at least get to have them for our meat. We do use them for protection but mainly for our food. Ya know, cause I can and cook everything and we raise our own meat to eat too. So I do hope that we get to keep them. K, thank you.
