Monday, October 18, 1999 - Drive on to LA. More bus trouble. Starter problems, overheating crossing mountains on I-5. We pull over at turnout to cool engine, meet "Mexico" Mike™. Reverse rolling start. Tense drive to Meryl and Jim's house in Silverlake.
Tuesday, October 19, 1999 - Hanging of out. Bring bus to mechanic Tony. M & A log tapes. Crepe and veggie dinner. Simon commands attention.
Wednesday, October 20, 1999 - Life story with Chuck who sells lady bugs and nematodes by the Astro diner as an alternative to pesticides and other poisons. Paradise Cove beach in Mailibu with all.
Thursday, October 21, 1999 D & C borrow car for the day - visit Center for Land Use Interpretation exhibit on Nellis Air Force Base and Museum of Jurassic Technology. Visit Venice beach. M & A edit Violent Show.
Friday, October 22, 1999 Food shopping. Shoot freeway footage for D's Inner Rage segment. D & C log & edit. Dinner at nearby Thai restaurant.
Saturday, October 23, 1999 Meryl's birthday. Go to rummage sale but find out it's actually on Sunday. Check out Glendale. D & C babysit Simon so Jim and Meryl can eat out and see movie. C starts to feel sick.
Sunday, October 24, 1999 D. edits. M, A, Jim & Meryl & Simon go to beach. C. is sick and sleeps on and off most of day.
Monday, October 25, 1999 More resting, hanging out, waiting for bus. Griffith park zoo.
Tuesday. October 26, 1999 D & C pick up Keith at airport. Go out for drinks.
Wednesday, October 27, 1999 Last day in LA. Bus is almost ready. Welding of frame. Tire replaced. Starter?
