MUSIC, VIDEO & DANCE CONVERGE IN A CREATIVE INTERACTION.
The "It" Summit is a gathering of innovative multi media artists who redefine performance as it unfolds. An improvisational Be-in for the information age, The "It" Summit is instigated by the musicians of Sonic Liberation Front; media artists of Termite TV; and dancers of the Maewa Cultural Ensemble. These multi-disciplinary artists come together for two evenings of cutting edge improvisational performance of Free Afro-Cuban Yoruba Jazz Jam-Band Electronica; live Guerrilla Video; and Traditional and Modern Dance. "It" is a multi-dimensional performance experience where audience space and performer space are one, and dancing is highly recommended.

Sonic Liberation Front is a Philly based eight-piece (perhaps nine) band that features Yoruba-Afro-Cuban roots music, free jazz and electronics, as heard on their debut release WATER & STONE (eye dog), and their forth coming SILENT SKY, SILENT SKY. "It's about taking yourself and the listener to another place," says Sonic Liberation Front leader Kevin Diehl. "There is an instant sonic architecture that happens with freely improvised music. Shapes fill the room. Similarly with Orisha music - the room is transported to an alternative place and time. Orishas fill the room."

Sonic Liberation Front performs on the creative music scene in Philadelphia, and at New York venues including the Knitting Factory. They're music is aired extensively on international radio and receives a great deal of international press acclaim.

As Sonic Liberation Front plays the musical sounds of The "It" Summit, spontaneous video images will be provided by the Termite TV collective. Termite TV will exhibit Immersive Media, located at various locations in the room. A version of their "Evolving Audience," an automated installation in which audience members contribute to the media mix, will be on hand.
